• We buy and test. We do not aggregate manufacturer press releases. We acquire the materials, subject them to real-world stress, and document the failures.
• We illuminate blind spots. We focus heavily on the hidden costs of installation. We detail the exact underlayment requirements, transition strip challenges, and subfloor leveling realities that sales brochures ignore.
• We name the flaws. No flooring material is perfect. If a beautiful Brazilian Cherry darkens aggressively in sunlight, we put that in the first paragraph of the review.
